The two leaders of the Canada Green Party will be in Campbell River this weekend for a town hall event.

The event will be held at the Maritime Heritage Museum in Campbell River from 3:30 until 5:30 p.m. Leaders Elizabeth May and Jonathan Pedenault will be guests at the town hall event, speaking about Green Party politicis and initiatives. According to a release from the North Island Powell River Electoral District Association, “top of mind and conversation at this event will be the lack of affordable housing, homelessness in communities across Canada and how the GPC intend to address these important issues affecting so many people right now.”

There will be a chance for conversation with the two leaders, and several announcements will be made relating to North Island Powell River candidate Jessica Webb.

Other attendees include Green Party Deputy Leader Rainbow Eyes; Bruce Gibbons from the Merville Water Guardians; Loys Maignon, a retired field biologist and researcher from the Strathcona Wilderness Society; habitat restoration consultant Ernie Sellentin; and retired avian biologist Royann Petrell.
