The Avedian family hailed from Adana. Its rich history has been preserved thanks to the unpublished memoirs of a member of the family, Sayeni Balian, which includes a chronicle of the family’s life, from Adana until its final departure from its homeland.
Many memory items, old photographs, and documents relating to the family’s history are currently kept in Montreal by Diran Avedian, another descendant of the family.
In this article, we present the history of the Avedian family, which takes us from Adana to Cyprus, Beirut, Paris, Girovagan, Montreal, Los Angeles, and elsewhere. We would like to thank Diran Avedian for his assistance in preparing this page.
